God touching herself - transcendency & transpersonal sex
Adamas

One of the first things that struck me when I found myself on a spiritual path, was that the path was rife with paradox.  Thich Nhat Hanh gives a good example…A person at 10 years old, is not the same person as they were at 5 years old, yet they are both the same individual.  So you at 5 and you at 10 are neither the same person, nor a different person.  So the ideas of same and different must be transcended.  Transcending those paradoxes is an essential part of the path.

In the same way, we are all individuals, yet we are all connected through Source.  We are each manifestation of the goddess (or godhead, if you prefer).  Yet each manifestation is individuated.  We are all “I”. We are all “you”.  But we can only experience it one at a time.  At the same time, cognitive science is revealing that individuals are quite interpenetrated.  While the conscious mind can only be aware of 40 or so things at once, our brain (and subconscious) is processing tens of thousands of bits of information every second.  Individuals communicate subconsciously through subtle body language, smells, tastes, sounds, pheromones, temperature, electric and magnetic fields - who knows how else.

When we are intimate with another, the sensations we feel are our own.  That pleasure is individuated – we feel it ourselves.  No matter how connected we may feel to our partner, we cannot truly know how they are experiencing that same interaction.

However, when we share a deep energy connection with another…when both partners are awakened to their own and the other’s energy being…when both partners are conscious, there is an opportunity for a transpersonal interaction.  The intimacy may result in both partners entering trance states, with both partners experiencing third-eye awakening, with both partners feeling the deep connection to Source.  Then that interaction becomes transpersonal.  It becomes larger than those two individuals.  Each partner still experiences the interaction as an individual, yet both are connected to Source – it’s transcendent.  The veil falls away, and both partners become aware that they are connected to one another through Source.  It’s god touching herself.

What a beautiful thing.
